The making of this smooth r&b Trap beat came from listening to the beats that ty dollar sign, future, Rihanna, sign and rap over. After a while of making hard dark trap beats, I like to create beats that are a bit more radio friendly and a bit more commercial.
I was trying to capture both elements of what we associate with artists like that of Bryson Tiller, Ty Dolla Sign and Rihanna. Keeping the structure of the song very simplistic and open. The instrumental is catered more for hip hop signers rather than rap artists. But from my experience hip hop artists love how open the beat is and how they can find the pockets to rap in the instrumental.
The verse of this beat has a very spacey area for both a rapper to vibe to or a singer to make space for their own vibes too. There is a very simple string melody in the hook of the instrumental to define the chorus.
